Ok. So it's been far too long since the Turner family blog has been updated.

Chad finished his summer semester in August (Contracts and Civil Procedure? Check)

Emily went 10 days late with little Lincoln (born September 14, 2012). Mom Butler was fortunately here to help out with everything, but unfortunately only got to spend one day with little Lincoln. Once she retires she may want to consider becoming a personal trainer though since she made Emily walk the mall, go up and down stairs at the Bryan Center parking garage at Duke, and made sure Emily was bouncing on the exercise ball as much as possible. None of it really helped little Lincoln come any faster though.

We arrived at the hospital on September 13 for Emily to be induced and the nurse (whose name was Ho-Yu, pronounced How You) sent us back home since the maternity ward was too busy. So, we returned in the afternoon and Emily was eventually induced with Lincoln being born the following morning.

Over fall break Mom and Dad Turner, Kevin, Ruth, Kyle, and Marie came down from Pennsylvania to spend a few days with us. We visited the Lemur Center, campus, and the North Carolina State Fair.

In October we traveled to Atlanta to visit Coke World and watch BYU beat Georgia Tech.

We also celebrated Emily's birthday and then Chad's birthday in November.

Thanksgiving was a blast! We cooked a turkey for the first time and had the Watsons over for dinner. The food was delicious and we all had a great time.

December brought finals for Chad and then flying out to California for Christmas. With a detour to Logandale before Christmas, we got to visit the Nevada Turners where Chad's appetite for firearms was partially fulfilled as Lance took him shooting. We got to meet Lincoln's older and larger cousin Clara for the first time. We also got to see the Valley of Fire and hike through a beautiful canyon trail. Naturally, the best part of all was spending time with family.

Upon our return to California we got to see all of Emily's family minus Elder Freeman (although we did see him on an iPad for his Christmas call). Lincoln finally met his cousins, Olivia Jane, and Jackson. Surprisingly Lincoln outweighs them both despite being the youngest of the three. He must take after his dad.

2013 started out wonderfully with a night of Bingo and a day spent at the beach. Chad's almost back in school and Emily's excited to be back to full-time Mommy with the most adorable little southern gentleman for miles around.
