Winter in Durham

Winter has finally hit North Carolina. It's snowed twice in the past week. The first time it didn't stay for more than a few hours and this last one was actually more an ice shower than snow (see pics below). The weather forecast for yesterday actually called for a "wintry mix" whatever that is. Not to worry though, we'll be back to 70 degrees on Tuesday.

Pure ice.
It looks like snow, but it's actually "wintry mix."
So what do you do when you're stuck inside because of the bad weather? First you try on some free perfume/cologne samples you got in the mail.

After deciding that the stuff smells disgusting, you take pictures of your adorable son.

Then, you break out the awesome Christmas gift you got from the North Ogden Turners (well one of two awesome gifts actually, the game was played over Christmas where baby Gavin estimated that Lassie was paid $750,000 a week at the height of her career). Of course, when you have the coolest straws on the block you have to drink Mexican soda through them.

And after all that you walk out to your mailbox which has been frozen shut to find that a wonderful mother has sent you the best decal anyone could place on their macbook (good thing Chad's the favorite son-in-law).

And after all that, you finish off the day with some Abuelita hot chocolate (sorry we don't have pics of that, but you can google it).
