The day Lincoln was shot

Thursday was Lincoln's 4 month appointment and, as always, he did very well. First he got weighed and measured. 17lbs 3oz and 26" long. Then it came time for his shots. The rotavirus is given orally and, as with any new thing in his mouth, Lincoln couldn't get enough of the white liquid. Next came two quick shots. One to each chubby little thigh. Lincoln took it like a champ, cried for a couple of seconds, and was then perfectly fine as his Dad held him and Mom showed him a toy (which was subsequently grabbed and shoved into a waiting mouth).

On a related note. Chad is also reading a fantastic book about Lincoln and shots (well just one shot actually). This book by Jim Bishop comes highly recommended. Chad now wants to visit Ford's Theatre on the next Turner family trip to D.C.
