Our little Zalie Mae is already four days old!
We tried really hard to prepare Lincoln for Zalie's arrival. We told him that baby Zalie was in Emily's tummy and pointed that out to him and had him kiss her tummy (we thought this was going well until Lincoln pointed to his own tummy one day and said "baby"), we got out the bassinet and explained it was Zalie's bed, and we prayed for baby Zalie every night.
So, now she's here and all though the first day or two Lincoln was a little hesitant, he has now warmed up to the idea of being a big brother. He loves to hold her and he is super helpful (throwing her dirty diapers in the trash, patting her back to burp her, letting us know she's sad when she's crying, etc...).

| Aww! What cuties! |

| Gotta feed the baby before Church. |
On an unrelated note, we had a discussion today about exclamation "point" vs. exclamation "mark". The upshot is that Chad lost, but really Emily lost because Chad will henceforth and forever be referring to this symbol -?- as an "interrogation point".
