Well... not you necessarily, but Lincoln had a birthday. But before we get to that though, here are a couple random pictures to bring you up to date!
 |
| 35 weeks!! Now, Emily is 38.5 weeks. |
 |
| Football is what Lincoln and Chad live for in our house. They watch it together each Saturday. Emily is excited to have another girl in the house soon so they can do girly things together while the boys watch football. |
And on to Lincoln's second birthday!!! We celebrated at the American Village Park the day before Lincoln's birthday. We blew up some balloons to play with, and Lincoln quickly learned that popping them was way more fun than throwing them in the air. He even learned how to pop them efficiently with a toothpick. Those loud noises did not phase him one bit! He loved it, and talked about popping balloons for days after.
This park is about a mile away from us, and Emily and Lincoln walk to it frequently. There are a lot of abandoned tricycles and Lincoln is always on one of them rolling down all the sidewalks in the park. We decided Lincoln needed a helmet for his birthday so that he's safer on those tricycles. Lucky for us Lincoln LOVED his new helmet (probably because Daddy wears a helmet when he rides his bike, and Lincoln loves to be just like Daddy). He would not take the helmet off for cake or for opening presents.

Speaking of opening presents, Lincoln was way more excited about riding tricycles than opening them. He did not care for the gifts at all! We'd have to force him to open one and then he'd sneak off and ride away. It wasn't until we bribed him with juice that he realized opening presents wasn't too bad.

| Notice the empty juice cup. |
This is Lincoln the morning of his actual birthday (the day after his party in the park).
Chad gave him four of his horses that he played with as a kid. Lincoln thought the white one was a sheep and instantly started 'Baa-ing' much to Chad's dismay.
We hid his presents throughout the living room and he loved looking for them. It was really cute to see him get excited when he'd find another wrapped package or bag.

| He cuddled with his new puppy-dog right away! |
 |
Love his face! Here he is opening a Buzz Lightyear watch. He loves wearing Chad's watches so we decided it was time for him to have one of his own. |

Emily decided to be super fancy and sewed Lincoln these jeans for his birthday. They turned out really cute and look like real jeans! She was pleased with how they ended up :)

| Lincoln and Chad caught taking a selfie on the back porch. |
Overall, we think Lincoln was excited to turn two and have a party at the park! He got very spoiled and loves all his new toys. He's one happy boy and we are so blessed to have him as part of our family. He makes us laugh each day and it's such a joy to watch him learn new things! We love you, Lincoln!
