This week Lincoln returned to the Museum voor Communicatie (this time with a sidekick). He loves running around, playing with the phones, screaming in the carriages, blasting to outer space, and wishing the food in the fake pantry wasn't fake. He also loves the giant plastic geese that are mysteriously there (see how many you can spot in the pictures below).

There are carpeted tiles all over the floor, this
one just happens to be from one of our favorite games. |
Lincoln was a 'little scared' of this so Emily told
him to roar at it. |
| Zalie was there. |
Lincoln is sitting at a table all set to dine. But instead of a meal,
you are served movie clips! Lincoln is watching Shrek 2 in his plate
and listening to it in Dutch through his cup. |
Emily was convinced that we needed plastic geese in our playroom.
But then Lincoln started throwing them violently
and she changed her mind. |
Lincoln and Zalie went to Music Makers and joined in Valentine's celebrations. Lincoln loves singing and being a crazy little boy around other kids. Zalie is a little calmer. While she does like to giggle at Lincoln and coo, she is never one to turn down a good nap, especially if it involves some one on one time with Sophie.

| Valentine's hat. |
| This looks like a 'first day of Kindergarten' photo! |
| "I want to go ni-night with baby Z" |
Lincoln being crazy. He's started taking to jumping
off furniture lately. Luckily, when he fell this time, there
was a changing pad beneath him to cushion the fall. |
For any of you that care, which we understand is a limited number, here's a picture of Chad in front of the building where he works. It's next door, literally, to Europol and the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY). His building itself houses the International Baccalaureate offices and shares parking space with the World Forum and New Zealand's Embassy.

| Wowzers! |
Because yesterday was Valentines Day, and because there is nothing more romantic than cars, Emily graciously agreed to go to the Louwman Museum with Chad and Lincoln. Zalie tagged along too.
| The second oldest automobile in the world. It's steam powered. |
A German vehicle and precursor to the bug. Built by VW
and Mr. Ferdinand Porsche himself. |
| Oh, and it can go in water. |
Lincoln was relatively difficult to photograph, but we got some.
He told us he wanted his picture in front of this car. |
| Zalie was there. |
Obligatory photo of Lincoln in front of the Lincoln used in
'The Godfather.' |
| One of many Elvis Cadillacs. |
| Chad's 'plan-B' Valentine |
| See, cars are romantic! |
| Police Porsche. |
Lincoln loved all the small cars and wanted to "hold
them in my hand" |
One of two cars at the museum formerly owned by
Steve McQueen (the other was a sick Baja racer) |
| Bond, James Bond. |
A slight deviant from the normal red, but still a
beautiful Ferrari. |
Seats 7. Chad is no longer willing to have a minivan
unless it is a convertible. |
This opulent car had a gold zebra ornament and was
all blinged out in gold. |
| The swan car, as seen on Jay Leno. |
| Now if only we can find the real stuff. |
Living in the Hague has been wonderful. We are so close to so many neat things, everyone speaks English, Chad can buy neat cheeses, Emily has found the best shops, Lincoln can go to the library, museums, and music makers, and Zalie is just as happy as a newly hatched butterfly.
| So those canals do get used. |
| Emily wants one. Way better than an Elio! |
We also got a letter this week from Chad's niece. It contained flat Stanley and so he has been going everywhere with us and getting his picture taken a lot. Don't tell anyone, but Chad lost him at the car museum and had to dig him out of the trash. Lincoln has been loving holding Stanley up for pictures.
Oh, and Zalie got poked in both legs this week. She is up to date with her immunizations and did great! The nurse gave Zalie a toy, which was a wooden cow, and then let Lincoln have a toy as well. He also wanted a cow, but we convinced him to get something else. He chose a plastic pig and has taken the cow and pig with him whenever he's been in the stroller ever since. He loves new toys!
