We have arrived! (Warning: more text than normal--feel free to just scan the pictures)
Before our arrival we had some stressful days as Lincoln startled us Tuesday night by having a cough like a dog barking (diagnosis by us non-medical professionals: croup). Wednesday we put everything we own, minus four suitcases and a carry-on full of lots of diapers, in storage. Our 10 x 10 storage unit is quite full. Don't worry though, if you're planning on helping us get stuff moved out of it in May it should be really easy as it is mainly boxes.
Wednesday afternoon we drove to sunny, but bitterly cold, Ashburn to be with Lance's family before flying out on Thursday. On Thursday we boarded a plane and headed out, first to Iceland and then landing in Amsterdam.

Lincoln's photogenic nature even extends to waiting in airports. |

Zalie's first time in a stroller. Lincoln wasn't sure about sharing his stroller with her. |
 |
But he warmed up to the idea of it since he got to push her through the airport. |
Before we even took off on our first flight Lincoln spilled his bottle of Icelandic water all over Chad. Chad spent the next 7 hours with a soggy bottom, while Lincoln dozed comfortably and Zalie and Emily were oblivious. Then, on our flight from Iceland to Amsterdam, Chad got a rather nasty bloody nose. Again, Emily, Lincoln, and Zalie were pretty much unharmed. In fact, Icelandair is wonderful for kids as Lincoln got free meals and crayons and stickers on both flights and was pampered like a little king.
We finally arrived in Amsterdam and trucked our luggage through the very large airport and train station to the rental car place to be informed that our luggage would likely not fit in the car we rented and thus we would need to upgrade. So, we ended up with a big Volvo that easily fit all five pieces of luggage in the back with room to spare. We tried to get the Bentley, Tesla, or Porsche that were parked next to our Volvo, but their trunks were too small for our luggage.
We've been in The Hague two days now and we love it. The city is beautiful, our apartment is bigger than what we had in France, everyone speaks English, and the chocolate and cheese are to die for. With apologies for the giant chunks of text, here are some pictures. We'll be here for four months, so there will be plenty more, but these are just the best from the past couple of days.

This is the sign on our front door and it made us think of Lincoln's best friend. Yes, we knowit's just a sign that says "no soliciting", but still. |
