After Chad finished his internship we had to flee the Shengen Zone. Luckily, Denmark understood and let us stay an extra 90 days. We only stayed for 5 days, but we loved it! We stayed with a really nice family in Copenhagen and they were so nice. We love airbnb! They had this awesome wicker rocking sled for Lincoln to play with, and he sure enjoyed his "pig" as he called it.
We flew in on Saturday afternoon and just got settled. Then on Sunday we went to church and met the nicest people. The Temple President's wife told us all the must-see's and invited to meet up with us on Tuesday. She was so nice! The Temple was right by the chapel, so we got to see it. It was gorgeous (duh!) and Chad may have scuffed a car with our car when we parked...
We decided to drive under the water and across the bridge to say we've been in Sweden, which is where Chad's dad served his mission. We went to some botanical gardens and had a lovely walk.

| That white car whose nose you can see is the BMW 3 series wagon we got upgraded to. |
There was an IKEA just off the freeway right when we entered/left Sweden. We had to take a picture, because it was nice to see the store in its homeland.
While in Denmark, Chad and Lincoln had many matching days. Shown is their Cameron Crazies wear with matching cords. Lincoln requests his Duke shirt when he sees his Daddy wearing his.
On Monday we went to the Frederiksborg Castle to see some original Carl Bloch paintings. The castle was beautiful and the gardens were awesome! It was really cool. It was so cool to see the original paintings of Christ that we see so often in Church today.

On Tuesday we started by meeting a mermaid. We saw the Little Mermaid statue and it was pretty neat!
Then, we went to Skt Peder's Bageri and ate our first Danish pastries. Oh man, they were delicious!
The bageri was right near the Copenhagen Cathedral where the original Christus resides. This statue is gorgeous, and another familiar art piece.
After naps, we met the mission president and his wife and they got us into Tivoli for free! Woot! Tivoli is the second oldest theme park in the world and is Walt Disney's inspiration for Disneyland. It was pretty impressive. After our visit Lincoln repeated in the car all that he did. He kept going on and on, so obviously he had a blast! It was great that we did not have to pay to ride the rides, because he just loved watching the roller coasters on their tracks.
Oh, and we had some lovely ice cream that was rated number 3 in Fox's top 10 list in 2013. It was complete with real whipped cream and jam on top. yum!
On wednesday, we went to a huge park and let Lincoln play before our flight that afternoon. He enjoyed running around and just being outside. It was a great way to finish off.
Too bad Zalie didn't get to play at the park :( She was a little sad about it on the plane.
