Farm and Sesame Street

Lincoln, Zalie, and Emily went to a local farm a couple Mondays ago and smelled like it for the rest of the day. Seriously, it was smelly. But it was really cool! Lincoln really wanted to ride a cow. Ever since he rode a camel he thinks he can ride any animal he meets. I don't think he was too disappointed though, because he did not want to get too close to the cows! We were able to see where they make cheese, but we unable to go inside because they were making cheese. It is unsanitary to go in the cheese-making room when they are actually making the cheese. Makes sense.

We also got to see lots and lots of sheep! They were loud and cute. These lambs were only one day old! The mom was a first-time mom, so she wouldn't let anyone hold her baby.

After the animal farm, we went to a tulip farm and saw how they grow tulips! It was pretty neat. They have various stages of tulips growing so they always have some to sell.

The next day we went to Sesamstraat in Kijkduin. It was a Sesame Street play place, and Lincoln loved it! He got to ride bikes, color, play with tv's, and meet Elmo. He was very unsure about Elmo at first, but warmed up to him. By the end, he gave Elmo a nice hug. It was so sweet! When we got home, Lincoln kept talking about coming back and playing with Elmo next week.

Sesamstraat was right near the beach, so we had to go see it! It was our first time seeing the beach since living in the Hague, and it was so windy! So windy in fact that we lost one of Zalie's shoes :(  The waves were so choppy! Too bad we won't be here in the summer, because we're only a 20 minute bus ride from the beach.
